After 8years of fighting and bickering together and with each other, KT and I are getting a home together

We're so excited with our future place that we went window shopping for concepts and ideas for our future home

Now we have to do loads of savings. So that we can build a comfortable sustainable and happy family together living together till we are

Of course all this was not without having to go through several attempts BTO-ing.

Dear bf and i have been balloting for more than 2 year, without any luck. We didn't manage to get any news from the HDB. After more than 10 attempts,we got so disheartened that we started looking into other options of finding a love nest to call our own.

We looked at everything we could find in the open market as well as new DBSS,condos & apartment developments. But the high demands in the booming property market made it out of reach.

After looking at our combined finances, we decided that it would be most practical to wait for a BTO flat.

The moment we re-registered to ballot for yet another BTO development. We recieved a queue number. Keeping our fingers crossed as we have previously gotten a queue number for another developement but was not allowed to choose as the race quota for the development has been reached.

This development we are now queueing for is located within 5 minutes of both the punggol waterways as well as the Punggol mrt station. Punggol, a young new town sandwiched between many neighbouring older estates. It promises an exciting activities as the blueprint showed a mish mash of pasir ris and ang mo kio culture.

We prayed to god for asking that he give us this opportunity to choose a unit that was within the list of units we have shortlisted. we got worried as more and more units got checked off from our list. There were still hordes of people queueing in front of us.

It was near the end of their HDB officer's morning shift when were we 'beeped' in. "A blessing in disguise" as they worked faster and close the morning cases.

Excited that it's finally our turn, we quickly checked our list as we entered most HDB office.

Though most of the units we shortlisted were taken up, we still managed to get a good unit within our top choices.

We chose our units based on "good facings" and "right numbers"(an important attribute i learnt from my numerology classes). Unlike others the much sought after characteristics of "high floors" and "good facings".

Excited that we found a gem with the right number, good facing in a good neighbourhood.

Thank god for blessing us and anwering my prayers. Looking forward to our lives together.

Esplanade library after 2 years

It's been 2years since i last stepped into the Esplanade library.

I can safely say that little has changed since my last visit.

One look at the theatre wings I began picking up a few books looking for a corner to read.

After walking about i finally found a luxurious stretch of seat by the window with a view of the towering hotels and shopping malls across the road.

Many catastrophic disasters have occurred around the world with the most recent disaster being the twin disasters hitting neighboring japan;disasters; a 9.2richter scale earthquake followed by a 10m tall tsunami hitting the pacific island almost immediately followed by the failure of the Fukushima nuclear power plant caused by the earthquakes and it's aftershocks

My heart goes to the people of japan who have lost their loves ones in these disasters especially those poor little children who have lost their parent to in this series of natural disasters. It's currently snowing in japan and now they have no one to look after and love them.

Sitting on the bay window watching the rain fall as i listen to music from my ipod, blogging away and reading the books that I have picked.

I thank god for his blessings and grace. For allowing me to enjoy the familiar feel in the comfort of my peaceful safe haven even when another part of the world is currently in chaos.

Thank you lord.
Amen

Another thing important things is: KH and I are going for the choosing of our little palace tomorrow!

Keeping my fingers crossed that god blesses us with a piece of his loving palace

Life After 1 Semester of Sch

After my 1st Semester and in the middle of my 2nd Sem.

I can say that life as a full time working adult + a part time student is not as I have imagined it to be.

I knew that being a part time uni was going to be terribly challenging but this is a lot more challenging than I imagined.

Demands of commitment to work, school family and friends continues to increase with each other as they compete for my attention.

Workloads have been increased tremendously as i have to take the workloads of both my superior and subordinate .

The both of them bailed out on me during my 1st sch term! 
Disappointed a I am, I knew they bailed out on the job and not on me coz it was due to their in ability to cope and take stress and I'm definately not the one responsible for stressing them!

i knew that their period of stay was timed the moment they joined us and their departure was inevitable as their unwillingness to continues to "take the challenge" was evident

I do not blame them for leaving as years of experience has taught me. These people are here for the moment and won't last long. Caused these people are here to buy time...

Well enough about work
School is a myriad of mind boggling experience.Every module come with full of technical terms which somehow rings bell about the stuff we learnt from schil and each word conjured a blurry image in my mind
